Someday at Christmas
I’ve always loved this Stevie Wonder song but this year it has a much deeper meaning. If you’ve ever really listened to the lyrics then you’ll get the full meaning behind the song. It’s beyond just celebrating Christmas. It’s speaking of someday there will be no more suffering, and all of us would be seen as equal. I heard it once or twice this year and it resonated with me so much because of COVID and how it’s turned all our lives completely around.
Someday at Christmas we’ll be able to gather together without the worry of a virus lurking in the shadows. Someday at Christmas, mask will be a thing of the past. Last year around this time lots of us were either doing last minute shopping, preparing to travel to see family, or eager to see smiles on our loved one faces Christmas morning. This year we’re grateful to just see a smile through a mask or just to celebrate with each other. You know when people say, “it’s just the little things”. Well, it certainly is just the little things we usually take for granted.
This Christmas I’m definitely embracing those little things. As we all know this time of year is not about gifts or even Christmas. It’s about the joy of the season and the warm feeling it gives each of us. It’s about being with the ones we love and hold dear to our hearts. Rather you celebrate the holidays or not, embrace the season this year because this is one like no other and you’ve managed to survive. Be mindful and try to spread love to those who may have lost a loved one(s).
Someday will be one day, but until then enjoy your life and take nothing for granted this season. I appreciate every single one of you who’s been a part of my life and my journey this year. I appreciate your support and your belief in me and my products. I wish you all good tidings of comfort and joy the remainder of this year.
