Just enough, not too much
Our bodies are designed to do what they’re naturally designed to do. We don’t have to remind our heart to beat or our lungs to take in air. The same goes for our skin. Our skin knows when it’s lacking nutrients so it will try and compensate to balance everything out. It also knows when there is too much of something (overuse of products) which can lead to either breakouts or inflammation.
We all should have a daily skin care routine to rid our skins surface of dirt and debris but, over/excessive use of product(s) can potentially do more harm than good. Yup, there is a thing as product overuse/overdose. For instance, after a few minutes of applying a serum or moisturizer to your face and your skin feels tacky or sticky to the touch this can be a sign that you’ve applied too much and the excess didn’t absorb into the skin. Which in turn could lead to clogged pores and unwanted breakouts.
Seriously, who wants to waste their hard earned money? Good skin care products can get expensive over time so try to scale back a bit. In no way am I saying it’s okay to skip your skin care routine. I’m simply stating, less is best. If you continue to maintain a thorough skin care regimen your skin will reward you with great results. And if you don’t know now you #noil!
